FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 21, 2001 WPSL TOUR OF FASTPITCH CHAMPIONS ON SALE NOW CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE ­ Tickets are on sale now for back-to-back nights of unbelievable softball action. The Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) brings its "Tour of Softball Champions" to Chattanooga on Thursday, June 28 and Friday, June 29. Held at Jim Frost Stadium (Warner Park), the June 28 exhibition will feature the WPSL Gold Team versus the Tennessee All-Stars. The WPSL Gold Team features Olympians from the 2000 Sydney games such as Lisa Fernandez, Michele Smith, Shelia Douty, and more. The Tennessee All-Stars will be made of up past and present local talent. Game time is 7:30 p.m. June 29 will feature a double-header with the 7:30 p.m. game pitting the WPSL Gold Team against the WPSL All-Stars. The 9:30 p.m. game will see the Tennessee All-Stars face off against the WPSL All-Stars. The double header will be two games for the price of one. Tickets for the games are $10.00 for reserved chairback seats and $8 for general admission. Softball teams/groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each.
